Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of SkillAudit at skillaudit.dev. By using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. Who we are

SkillAudit is operated by the maintainer at hello@skillaudit.dev. These terms create a contract between you and us.

2. What you can do

Use SkillAudit for the purpose it was built for, within the limits of your chosen plan. You may not:

• Use the service for illegal purposes or in ways that violate third-party rights.
• Submit repositories you do not own or do not have permission to scan.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code beyond what the service exposes.
• Use the service to compete with us by replicating the product.
• Abuse rate limits or probe for vulnerabilities without permission (see Security below).
• Share your account credentials with others (each team member gets their own seat).

3. Your content

You own the data you submit to SkillAudit. We have a limited license to process it solely to perform the audit you requested. We don't use your repositories to train models or share them outside what's necessary to run the scan. Source code is discarded after the report is generated; the resulting report card is retained on your account.

4. Audit accuracy disclaimer

SkillAudit performs static analysis and LLM-assisted probing — it is a strong signal, not a security guarantee. A passing grade does not certify a skill is free of all vulnerabilities, and a failing grade may include false positives. You remain responsible for evaluating any skill you install. We continuously improve the scan engine based on real-world findings.

5. Our service

We provide the service "as is" without warranties. We try hard to keep uptime high and bugs low, but we don't guarantee either. If the service has significant downtime (>0.5% in a month on paid plans), we'll credit your next bill.

6. Payments

• Prices are shown on the pricing page in US dollars, excluding taxes.
• We bill monthly in advance via a payment processor (Stripe).
• Cancel any time — no refunds for the current month, but no future charges.
• If a charge fails, we retry for 7 days; if it still fails, we pause your account.

7. Termination

You can cancel your account any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, with 14 days' notice where practical. On termination we delete your data per our Privacy Policy.

8. Liability

Our liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages (lost profits, business interruption, security incidents arising from skills you chose to install regardless of grade, etc.). These limits apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Security

If you find a security issue, report it to security@skillaudit.dev. We won't sue you for good-faith research. Please don't publicly disclose the issue until we've had a chance to fix it (typically 90 days).

10. Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes (new fees, changes to how we use data), we'll notify you at least 14 days in advance. If you don't accept the new terms, cancel before they take effect.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union, and disputes will be resolved in EU courts unless local consumer-protection laws require otherwise.
